The army knife of the 1940 model (Scout Knife, NR-40, NA-40) is the registered model of the combat knife used in the army of the Soviet Union and a number of Warsaw Pact countries from 1940 to the 1960s. The release of the NR-40 was established at the "Trud" plant in the village of Vacha and at the Zlatoust Tool Plant-Factory No. 259 named after V.I. Lenin (ZiK).
