AIT Zlatoust Lynx knife is a beautiful piece of art, that has a history behind its creation. The Moscow Special Detachment of Rapid Response (SOBR)
"Lynx" has its history from February 10, 1992. Since the early 90's,
the officers of the "Lynx" were involved virtually in all
anti-terrorist operations in Russia. Employees of the unit took part in the release
of hostages in Mineralnye Vody and Makhachkala, stormed Grozny, took part in
special operations in Budennovsk and Kizlyar, released the audience of the
musical "Nord-Ost" in the theater center at Dubrovka. In the armament
of the detachment there are unique samples of special weapons and weapons. A
special knife with the same name was developed for the staff of SOBR
"Rys" by designer A. A. Skrylev. It is produced by one of the leading
Russian manufacturers of cold steel - the company "AiR" from Zlatoust.
The blade of the knife "Lynx" has a dagger form with one and a half
sharpening and is made of stainless steel 95X18. The handle is made of cork,
the guard and the rear are aluminum. To honor SOBR, Lynx Art is engraved on the
blade.
95x18 steel is Russian version of the AISI 440C steel. Unlike western counterparts, contains 0.20% Titanium.
